Technic recommends using bit versions of Java if supported. This allows more memory for Minecraft to use. If you are a beginner with Minecraft and not so good with the code, this launcher can cause you to face some issues as well. So, if you are not looking to give those hackers some backdoor on your PC and want to have a secure Minecraft experience, you should be staying away from the technic launcher.

I'm too lazy to go look it up myself, but I recommend including something about early minecraft history. An update where they removed the forestry mod and stuff and added new stuff, can be researched. What Zakzedd said, the time line of Minecraft is recorded and easier to obtain knowledge about it than Tekkit which is harder to do so.

I'm sorry I don't quite understand the question s. You're trying to load an old save with a new version? Have you already attempted or are you just assuming it won't work? Also, "How do I get single player technic? Technic is the single player version of the mod pack, though you can play Tekkit single player as well. Are you trying to find the version of Technic that the world would play with, or just the latest version of Technic with the mods you had installed?

Technic as-it-was definitely doesn't exist anymore—it was discontinued and restarted later because many mods were being distributed without permission before.
